Imagine this; the kids are whining that they want ice cream or a treat
.
You don’t want to fill them up with a big bowl of sugar and other nasties
.
They deserve something sweet and creamy and refreshing that is also healthy
.
You do realise that I’m saying “the kids” but I actually mean you, don’t you?
.
YOU deserve something sweet and creamy that is also healthy
.
Make yourself a bowl of this amazing sorbet, packed full of protein to keep you going and ready in just two minutes.
.
I used blackberries, because that’s what I had in the freezer, but you could use any frozen fruit you like
.
I also used vanilla protein powder but again, you can use whatever flavour you like, or unflavored if you prefer
.
If you do use unflavoured protein powder, you might want to add a touch of your sweetener of choice
.
This recipe works with both whey protein or plant-based protein powders so can also be easily made vegan
.
Enjoy!

Ingredients

  • 1.5 cups frozen blackberries

  • 1 cup water

  • 25 grams (1 scoop) vanilla protein powder

  • Sweetener to taste (optional)

Directions

  • This is a complicated one, are you ready?
  • Put all of the ingredients into a blender and blitz until smooth.
  • Don’t blend for so long that it starts to melt though.
  • Spoon into a bowl and top with more fruit.
  • Hide in the pantry and eat it with a smile on your face
