2 Minute Healthy Sorbet

Introduction

Imagine this; the kids are whining that they want ice cream or a treat

You don’t want to fill them up with a big bowl of sugar and other nasties

They deserve something sweet and creamy and refreshing that is also healthy

You do realise that I’m saying “the kids” but I actually mean you, don’t you?

YOU deserve something sweet and creamy that is also healthy

Make yourself a bowl of this amazing sorbet, packed full of protein to keep you going and ready in just two minutes.

I used blackberries, because that’s what I had in the freezer, but you could use any frozen fruit you like

I also used vanilla protein powder but again, you can use whatever flavour you like, or unflavored if you prefer

If you do use unflavoured protein powder, you might want to add a touch of your sweetener of choice

This recipe works with both whey protein or plant-based protein powders so can also be easily made vegan

The recipe

Ingredients

1.5 cups frozen blackberries
1 cup water
25 grams (1 scoop) vanilla protein powder
Sweetener to taste (optional)

Directions

Step 1
This is a complicated one, are you ready?
Step 2
Put all of the ingredients into a blender and blitz until smooth.
Step 3
Don’t blend for so long that it starts to melt though.
Step 4
Spoon into a bowl and top with more fruit.
Step 5
Hide in the pantry and eat it with a smile on your face
