We have had a definite chill in the evening air lately and I’m thinking about winter comfort food

I made this pie for my Business of Edible Images group as part of our monthly challenge and it was so good that I rushed to write down the recipe before I forgot

Rich and creamy with a punch of flavour, it makes one large family pie or can be just as easily turned into individual hand pies to freeze and eat later

I saw this asked somewhere recently and it made me stop and think.

Mine? When I was quite young we lived near a bay with a bridge over a small river at one end
.
I remember walking over the bridge with my Dad to the headland on the other side and picking wild growing freesias
.
To this day they are one of my favourite flowers and their scent brings such an intense rush of nostalgia 
.
